Perfume Strength & Wear
-
Longevity varies depending on skin chemistry, weather, application, and the materials used in each fragrance. Some perfumes may last a few hours, while others can remain noticeable throughout the day.
For longer wear, apply a thin layer of unscented lotion before spraying to help slow absorption into the skin. We do not recommend spraying on light-colored clothing, as natural materials, resins, and darker aromatic ingredients may stain.
-
Ashenfume perfumes are generally created at extrait de parfum concentration, typically around 20–30%. We favor rich, long-lasting compositions with depth, presence, and strong material character.
-
Perfume can continue to mature after bottling. Over time, volatile top notes may soften, while heart notes, base notes, resins, woods, musks, and deeper materials may become more noticeable.
This is especially true with natural materials, tinctures, resins, oud, and handcrafted compositions. Slight changes over time are part of the living nature of the perfume.
Ingredients, Allergens & Suitability
-
Ashenfume perfumes are crafted primarily with natural materials, including botanicals, resins, florals, woods, musks, oud, tinctures, and other aromatic ingredients.
In some compositions, we may use very small amounts of synthetic materials to enhance lift, structure, diffusion, stability, or realism. These are used intentionally and sparingly.
If you have allergy concerns or sensitivities, please contact us before ordering.
-
No. Some Ashenfume perfumes may contain animal-derived materials, tinctures, musks, or traditional natural ingredients. If vegan suitability is important to you, please contact us before ordering.
-
Ashenfume perfumes are not always formulated to strict IFRA compliance.
We do keep IFRA guidance in mind for safety awareness, but some compositions may contain restricted natural materials at levels above IFRA limits, such as oakmoss or other allergenic aromatic ingredients.
Because of this, customers should carefully consider any known allergies, sensitivities, or skin concerns before ordering. If you are sensitive to oakmoss, musks, resins, essential oils, natural extracts, or fragrance allergens, please contact us before purchase.
Ashenfume perfumes are intended for external use only. Patch testing is recommended before regular wear.

Storage & Care
-
Store your perfume away from direct sunlight, heat, and major temperature swings. Light and heat are two of the biggest factors in the degradation of aromatic materials.
Some perfumes may contain antioxidants such as vitamin E or rosemary extract to help slow oxidation, but natural volatile notes such as citrus, pine, and certain top notes may still soften over time.
Refrigeration is not required, but keeping your perfume in a cool, dark place can help preserve it longer.
